Reproduction of dandelion.

SCIENCE YEAR 2.

The dandelion flower is pollinated. Then, it produces seeds that fly away.


The dandelion life cycle

1.           The seed needs air, water and soil.
2.           The roots start growing.
3.           The flowers bloom.
4.           The bees pollinate the flowers.
5.           New seeds grow.
6.           The wind blows the seeds away.
7.           The seeds land and more flowers grow.

An apple, an orange, some grapes, a banana, a strawberry, some blueberries, a raspberry, a peach, a lemon, a watermelon, a pineapple, a coconut, a kiwi, a grapefruit, a pear.

Now, practice:

Yes, I do. 
No, I don´t. 

What fruit do you like to eat?
I like oranges.
I don´t like kiwis.

What fruit does he/she like to eat?
He/She likes peaches and bananas.
He/She doesn´t like mangoes.

Does he like watermelons?
Yes, he does. 
Does she like strawberries?
No, she doesn´t. 

Do you like fruit?
Yes, I do. I like bananas and coconuts, but I don´t like pears.

Does he/she like fruit?
Yes, he/she does. He/She likes pineapples, but he/she doesn´t like grapes.

Where does fruit come from?



Fruit salad recipe. 



Telmo and Tula are going to prepare a delicious fruit salad. They use strawberries, cherries, blackberries and raspberries. Telmo likes to spread raspberry all over his face.
